ACMP Metro & Eastern New York

Greetings, ACMPNY Community!

We hope everyone is enjoying the warmer weather as we start the Summer season.

While still in start-up mode, our team successfully completed the application process with ACMP Global in 2022, and we are now a formally affiliated chapter. After achieving this major milestone, we are taking the next steps in our change journey as a chapter.

To support this, we have formally launched the Communications & Marketing, Events, and Membership committees, initially mainly supported by our board members. To learn who is serving on the ACMPNY board, click here.

We have begun to involve additional volunteers to support and grow our chapter. Together, we aim to co-create a thriving Change Management community. If you're interested in getting involved or have any questions, please email info@acmpny.org

Sincerely,

Pat Reyes

Chapter Vice President

5 CxOs on Leading Change

About: Provides a good insight into the thinking of the C-suite

Source: CIO.com

"With technology playing both an enabling and a driving role in nearly every aspect of modern business, CIOs are at the forefront of many of today’s transformation efforts. In an increasingly VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous) world, the speed and volume of change are only going to be more intense three or four years from now."

"To remain future-ready, technology leaders have to make sure not just our IT organizations but also our business partners and customers are able to understand the vision for change, navigate through the disruption, and get excited about the possibilities that lie ahead."

AboutExplains basic change process aimed at a general business audience

Source: Forbes

"However, as well-intentioned and optimistic as the decision to adopt a SaaS or other digital solution may be ... many company leaders fail to develop a process for change management while they sort through the problems that come with a large-scale software rollout. This lack of foresight can throw a wrench in even the best-laid plans."

About: Provides knowledge that can be readily applied and makes a good business case for the mid-size company

Source: Harvard Business Review

"This article discusses how to integrate scenario mapping into your strategic planning process to boost your “flux capacity” (your tolerance for change) and contribute to the kinds of futures you’d like to see."

"By expanding your focus from change management to a change mindset, then using a simple tool to reframe how you address the future, you’ll be better positioned for whatever is ahead. And thanks to their size and agility, midsize companies are especially well placed to harness these dynamics."
